10:00 AM Charity Poker Run - All Canopy Roads
The Canopy Road Cruisers and the GWRRA Chapter FL1 A2 will be hosting a Charity Poker Run on August 2nd. First bike out at 10am from the Tallahassee Antique Car Museum (3550 Mahan Drive - http://tacm.com). Cost is $10 per rider; $10 for extra hand. The first 100 riders out get a free sandwich coupon from Chick-fil-A. Last bike in at 2pm at the Tallahassee Antique Car Museum. Free hot dog lunch on return from poker run closing around 2:30pm to allow everyone time to see the auto museum which closes at 5pm. There will be a 50-25-25 ticket drawing. Best hand wins $100 plus 10 $10 tickets will be drawn from tickets given to all participants. All proceeds benefit the St. Judes Children's Research Hospital. They will also have (not to do with St. Judes) $1.00 chances to win a 2009 Honda Gold Wing to be given away at GWRRA's March 2009 State Rally in Kissimmee (2nd prize is $1,000 cash and 3rd prize is $500 cash). You do not have to be present to win.

and Iron Memorial Run which will be held on September 11th in
honor of all those who lost their lives and loved ones on September 11,
2001, and those who fought to save them. Please join us in honoring
these heroes.We will meet at 8am at the Wal-Mart on the Apalachee
Parkway. We'll ride as a group to the Capitol for the ceremony at
8:30pm.

A trauma nurse at Capital Regional Medical Center (and who also rides) has offered to conduct a class for Motorcycle Accident Scene Management on September 13, 2008. This is an 8-hour class with an "advanced" class the following day (Sunday - same price). Please keep checking back for more info.
